Teledyne FLIR Defense appoints Precision Services as authorised service centre in Denmark
Svenstrup, Denmark, 18/08/2026 - Teledyne FLIR Defense, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, and Precision Services ApS, part of Precision Technic Defence Group, have signed a Service Center Agreement appointing Precision Services as an authorised service centre for selected Teledyne FLIR defence solutions in Denmark.
The agreement marks an important step towards strengthening local maintenance and support capabilities for users of advanced defence technologies and sensor systems in Denmark and the wider Nordic region.
Under the agreement, Precision Services is authorised to establish, operate and maintain a service capability covering diagnostics, repair, maintenance and technical support for selected Teledyne FLIR Defense products. The local service presence will provide customers with faster response times, reduced downtime, and access to certified technical expertise closer to the point of use.
Building on an established partnership
The agreement builds upon an existing collaboration between Teledyne FLIR, Precision Services and the Danish defence industry, including technology transfer and training activities already established through current Technical Assistance Agreements.
The cooperation has furthermore been supported through Danish Industrial Cooperation (Offset) requirements administered by the Danish Business Authority (Erhvervsstyrelsen). Through this framework, Teledyne FLIR Defense and Precision Services have worked together to develop local industrial competencies, transfer technical knowledge and establish sustainable in-country support capabilities that strengthen Denmark’s defence industrial base.
The long-term ambition is to develop a strong regional support hub serving Danish, Nordic and European users of Teledyne FLIR systems, contributing to improved operational readiness, reduced logistics lead times, enhanced supply chain resilience and increased sovereign support capability for critical defence technologies. As training, certifications and technology transfer continue, the service capability is expected to expand progressively.
Per Frederiksen, Managing Director of Precision Services, says:
‘We see increasing demand for local support of advanced electro-optical systems, and the establishment of an authorised Teledyne FLIR Defense service capability in Denmark enables us to provide customers with faster response times, shorter logistics chains and specialist expertise closer to the end user.
This capability will support the operational readiness of defence users while strengthening supply chain resilience and complementing existing Danish Defence (DALO) sustainment and maintenance facilities with additional certified repair and technical support capacity.
Teledyne FLIR's systems are widely integrated throughout the defence industry ecosystem, and we are proud to be the first authorised service provider in Denmark for diagnostics, repairs, installation and technical support of these systems.’
Dr. JihFen Lei, President of Teledyne Defense and Aerospace Group, concludes:
‘We are honored to partner with Precision Services in creating this new Service Center that can quickly and efficiently meet the needs of our defence customers in Denmark and the Nordic region. This represents the cornerstone of our industrial cooperation plan, and we wish to thank the Danish Business Authority and Danish government for their strong support throughout the process.
Danish defence forces are relying on Teledyne FLIR Defense’s medium- and long-range surveillance systems to support warfighters across land, air, and maritime domains. Under Precision Services’ leadership and expertise, the new service center will deliver the maintenance and repair capabilities end-users need to maintain peak readiness of these solutions to ensure mission success.’
An official signing of the agreement will take place at DALO Industry Days in Herning on 20 August at 09:30 at booth U2204.
